What is Cima?

Stewart Filmscreen presents Cima — a precision built line of projection screen products offering exceptional value. Designed and built in the USA to exacting engineering standards, these screens target an audience that is broad in application but less need-specific in terms of image size and desired optical qualities. While all Stewart professional projection screens are custom engineered for venue specific applications, Cima projection screens come in standard, high demand sizes, with varying aspect ratios, and with a limited selection of high quality screen materials. For everyday applications

Not every application requires custom, bespoke engineering. For leading integrators, ordering the most frequently used screen sizes for commercial applications becomes a daily routine. Many times, the need for these screens is immediate. We've created the Cima line to meet this daily demand by streamlining the build process to eliminate custom configurations that may not be required — all accomplished without compromising the build quality that is synonymous with Stewart. Please note that these screens are not the same as our competitors’ screens which often sit on the shelves for many months or even years. Our surface materials are installed after ordering, ensuring a clean, flat optical surface which is free of any material wrinkles and ladder lines. These value driven screens are second to none.

Three available models

Cima keeps the screen making process very efficient, offering both above and below ceiling electric screens, along with one fixed frame, snap screen. Cima AC and Cima BC are both ETL approved and come in preconfigured size ranges — and all are available in HD, Scope or 16:10 formats. Each electric screen comes standard with a 6 or 12 inch black drop as well as a versatile, standard control package. We keep the process timely by keeping the ordering process streamlined. No customization is offered with Cima ensuring a quick ship on an unbelievably, great screen.

Your choice of two, superb fabrics

Choose 16K+ Neve, a matte white color screen fabric and a great choice when room lighting can be controlled. Or, if there is some ambient light present, choose Tiburon G4, a neutral density gray fabric. Both are performance fabrics that will make your content pop. For audiophiles, Neve is also available with Perforado — our optional, sound transparency perforation fabric for Cima FF only.

Choose Cima AC for above ceiling

Cima AC offers a superb fit and finish and installs beautifully with an easy-to-remove dust cover. Featuring a proprietary roller tube and a quiet, dependable motor, this screen knows how to work.

Ceiling recessed and out of sight

Just press a button and your screen will roll away until needed. Cima AC gives you high functionality and will also free up wall space so your room can adapt to the next activity.

Also available as a non-tensioned electric screen

Cima AC-NT is a cleanly detailed, above ceiling retractable screen featuring a non-tensioned, tab free screen surface. Each screen comes with a minimum of 12 inches of continuously variable black drop and includes a versatile, standard control package integrated into the screen enclosure. Choose between our most requested, preconfigured size ranges in either HD or 16:10 formats. Our durable, Estero 100 fabric is standard on Cima AC-NT and will give many years of quality image projection.

Choose Cima BC for below ceiling

Engineered for the daily grind, and built to last, Cima BC is made with integrity and preforms like a pro. Cima BC comes with versatile bracketing, hidden terminations and is easy to install.

Cima FF for fixed frame applications

Featuring a Velux covered aluminum frame, the screen fabric is held in perfect tension with an adjustable snap attachment system. Velux covers all visible surfaces and the frame arrives meticulously protected. The bracketing is simple, and assembly and installation is a breeze.

A proprietary control system is integrated into the screen case

For both Cima AC and BC, the Cima screen controller features 12 volt trigger functionality, or low voltage up-down-stop capability. Installation is super easy with a pigtail or AC power cord that is furnished for the line voltage connection and a convenient RJ25 connector on the exterior of the case for convenient, control hookup. Alternatively, an available upgraded controller can offer enhanced signaling options when IR, serial or IP control is required.
