STEWART FILMSCREEN NAMED 2007 DESIGN & ENGINEERING INNOVATIONS HONOREE

New York, NY November 8, 2006 The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA® ) announced Stewart Filmscreen Corporation® as a 2007 International CES Design and Engineering Innovations Honoree for the revolutionary CineCurve®, the new curved constant height multimasking screen at the CES New York Press Preview. All products that are entered were judged by an independent panel of industrial designers, engineers, and members of the trade press. This award program was formed to honor outstanding design and engineering in cuttingedge consumer electronics.

The CineCurve is a 2.40:1 multimasking screen that maintains a constant vertical height, providing you with the largest cinemascope image when used with a projector and anamorphic lens and eliminates any possibility of black bars.

The concave shape of the CineCurve, unlike a flat screen, focuses light coming from the screen towards the audience, making the image appear brighter. The curvature also limits the amount of light that reflects onto the walls, helping to eliminate cross reflection that may compromise image quality. Viewing angles are also improved due to the distance from the screen's edges to the audience is the same as the distance from the center of the screen. Because the screen is curved, the CineCurve completely immerses the viewer in a cinematic experience and allows them to connect emotionally with their source material.

The Stewart CineCurve can accommodate any aspect ratio you desire with its unique multimasking system, while maintaining a constant height. The electronically controlled masking panels slide in from either side of the image area to create the correct screen size for the desired format.

"We are extremely proud that the consumer electronics industry is recognizing CineCurve as the groundbreaking product it is," says Joaquin Rivera, Director of Sales. "With this product, we have initiated the trend of watching Cinemascope movies in the home."

As a widely renowned consumer technology awards program that began in 1989, the Innovations Design and Engineering Awards recognize achievements in product design and engineering. Sponsored by CEA, the producer of the International CES, the world's largest consumer technology tradeshow, and endorsed by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA), the voice of industrial design, is committed to advancing the profession through education, information, community, and advocacy.

The Innovations entries are judged based on the following criteria:

• Engineering qualities of the product, including technical specifications and materials used
• The product's intended use/function and user value
• Aesthetic and design qualities (using visuals provided)
• Unique and novel features
• Contributions to consumers' quality of life
• Impact on the manufacturer's business model

Stewart CineCurve will be displayed at the 2007 International CES Booth# 25321, which runs January 811, 2007 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Visit www.CESweb.org/innovations for details on Innovations 2007 Design and Engineering Honorees.
